What and Why

Tracy Mackenna, curator of The Museum of Loss and Renewal and PUBLICAR’s Fernanda Aránguiz M. work together to offer practitioners and researchers creative and practical advice about publishing projects, and access to a network of relevant international professionals and organisations.

We approach publishing as a practice of care, infused with positive criticality and engaged in with reciprocity.

We are very open to publishing proposals.

Tracy and Fernanda provide design, editing, proofreading and marketing expertise, and distribution across a network of relevant international professionals and organisations.

Funding for the production of a publication is sourced by practitioners and researchers. The Museum of Loss and Renewal Publishing and PUBLICAR support promotion via e.g. an online launch event, advertising on social media and The Museum of Loss and Renewal and PUBLICAR’s websites.

The Group Residency PUBLISHING AS AN ARTISTIC PRACTICE, devised by Tracy Mackenna, takes place in Collemacchia, Italy with invited international partners and contributors and brings together a wide range of creative practitioners to share expertise and to collaboratively explore what publishing within creative practices is and can be. The Group Residency is designed to stimulate new ways of thinking and experimentation through production, research, co-learning and presentation.
