Gatherings are the way that I do this, physically and in online spaces. By focussing on particular subject-matters and letting the creative work tell its story, co-learning happens along with reflection, and connections and networks that transcend differences are formed.
Participants and presenters show work, share knowledge and information about the subject being discussed, about ways of making, about processes and techniques and about reference material.
Generously, information is also shared about events, arts organisations, interdisciplinary projects, venues for presenting work, personal contacts, production resources, selling, marketing and publicity, and more.
Those who join in say that they have been motivated to maintain good consistent relationships and contacts with others and that this helps them be more effective at creating and presenting their work distinct from when they tried to manage alone.
As an artist with decades of experience working internationally to devise and situate projects that form a core part of my artistic practice, my work has grown through shared continuous learning, with the aim of making a positive impact on the art world and every other sector that my work is part of.
