Mentoring / Creative Coaching

I love to mentor and to coach creatively.

I want to help other creatives and creative businesses reflect, find clarity and confidence, and reconnect in order to grow.

I am endlessly inquisitive, a natural researcher, a good listener, and can get to the core of issues quickly.

My values are accessibility, attentiveness, care, connectivity, compassion, creativity, generosity and integrity.

In my mentoring relationships, working best as an ongoing long-term practice focussed on growth, I have experience, expertise and networks that I share with my mentees. As a coach the opposite is the case: you have the pearls, and I work with you to find your solutions; coaching excels in achieving specific short-term goals. In both mentoring and coaching, developing a rich conversational mode in a safe space is a priority.

I am a highly experienced artist, curator, Professor and former academic Dean. I mentor and coach artists, academics and small-business leaders internationally, invited to do so by individuals, groups, art organisations and Universities. I often take up the role of ‘Critical Friend’ for artists’ and academics’ projects, and I always engage in informal mentoring and coaching with the residents of The Museum of Loss and Renewal.

I am currently mentoring and acting as a creative coach for several individuals, and am a Specialist Mentor for Arts Council of England, University of the Highlands and Islands, Scotland etc.

I have undertaken certificated learning and training e.g. Supporting Neurodivergent People in the Workplace, Understanding Autism, and I am myself AuDHD.

I offer bespoke mentoring and creative coaching packages, taking place both online and in-person.

Please contact me to discuss what you would like to focus on, and together we can devise a programme that will be engaging, fulfilling and rewarding.
