About this work, Hilary says ”This is the first of a series of prints that draw on graphic ephemera from my family archive; war-time letters and 1960’s architectural perspective drawings. The work considers memory loss and retrieval in the context of Alzheimer’s and much wider histories. The negatives, positives and transparencies of the printmaking process play into the vanishing and appearing of pasts and presents, yoking the small and personal to the vast and unreachable.”
